Nestled into the Admiralty Gulf, deep in the Kimberley wilderness lies Kimberley Coastal Camp. This magnificent property is located on a piece of truly untouched paradise, surrounded by huge tidal rivers, mangrove lined creeks, estuaries, offshore reefs, and secluded islands.
Under the guidance of Kimberley Coastal Camp’s highly experienced and extremely knowledgeable guides, you will have the opportunity to drop a line in all the best local fishing spots.
What you can catch
The majority of anglers are amazed by the variety of species, including Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Fingermark, Mulloway (Northern Black Jew Fish), Threadfin Salmon, Giant Trevally, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Queen Fish, Coral Trout, Blue Bone and numerous other tropical species. Mud crabs and oysters also inhabit these pristine waters.
The fishing is conducted on a catch and release basis, with only those fish destined for the table being retained from the days catch.
Vessels and Equipment
Fishing vessels in use at Kimberley Coastal Camp have been custom built to accommodate blue water, shallow flats, tidal creeks, and secret spots! All boats are in commercial survey and carry the approved safety equipment.
Kimberley Coastal Camp offers the use of quality fishing equipment and tackle (excludes fly fishing), or you can bring your own if you prefer.
Accommodation
Scattered amongst the red sandstone and native grasses, 8 spacious beachfront bungalows offer privacy and comfort. Taking full advantage of the tranquil views over the Admiralty Gulf your ‘room with a view’, is elegantly furnished featuring king size or twin single beds fitted with premium linen, screened walls, handmade timber furniture, reading lamps and a ceiling fan. Each bungalow features a private ensuite built with bush timers.
The Main Camp
Open to the gentle sea breezes, the nucleus of Kimberley Coastal Camp is known simply as ‘the shed’. A large open sided pavilion hand built using recycled timber with high raked ceilings, this is the ideal place to discuss the day’s adventures, relax with a book from the library, enjoy great music, or just listen to the waves lapping on the shore. A large rustic dining table is the scene for those wonderful gourmet meals Kimberley Coastal Camp is famous for. The swimming pool with stunning water views is an ideal place to cool off at the end of the day with an icy drink in hand, prior to entrée served with a Kimberley sunset.

Spring tides can have up to 7 metres of tidal movement which can result in choppy water and limited boat availability however some spring tides can easily be worked around. If you speak to us about your preferred travel dates, we can let you know what the tides are doing during that time.
