Full Package Includes
As Australia’s third largest island, Kangaroo Island is a pristine haven for both wildlife and marine life. This beautiful location is located approximately 112kms southwest of Adelaide and can be accessed via regularly scheduled commercial flights or via the vehicle ferry.
Whilst close in proximity to Adelaide, Kangaroo Island still boasts a pristine and relatively untouched natural environment, which has encouraged marine life to flourish in the local waters.
Gummy shark, School shark, Kingfish, Flathead, Harlequin fish, King George Whiting, Nannygai, Swallowtail, Blue Morwong (Queen Snapper), Trevally, Tuna and Mako shark (December through to May), Whiting (most predominantly in January through to early May but can be found all year round in the right spots), and Samson (predominantly from September to December)
Daily fishing expeditions will be onboard a 65ft, 32 tonne coaster fibreglass vessel. Moored at a private marina, the vessel has immediate and exclusive access to the waters of Investigator Strait. The size and capability of the vessel allows for fishing all year and provides a relatively smooth ride – even in rougher conditions.
The 83m2 deck accommodates up to 12 anglers and the undercover lounge area provides necessary shelter from both the heat and wet weather.
Utilising a MaxSea Chart plotting system, Furuno Chart plotter, 25kW Radar, Satellite stabilizer and Furuno sounder, the vessel is well-equipped to maximise your chances of enjoying a busy day out on the water. The boat is also equipped with all required standard safety equipment and in 2c survey.
There is also a fully enclosed toilet and shower and a BBQ onboard for your convenience and comfort.
There are two standard self-contained cabin retreats available for overnight accommodation, located in a very scenic area in the remote west end of Kangaroo Island.
The cabins include kitchen and BBQ facilities for guests, as food and beverages are not included within the package.
Getting There
Kangaroo Island can be accessed via regularly scheduled direct commercial flights to the island, from select major cities around Australia. Adelaide is the closest Capital City.
There is also a regularly scheduled commercial vehicle ferry that operates from Cape Jervis (approximately 106km south of Adelaide), for those looking to drive.
Fishing Package
Fishing charters are available all year round.
