Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is one of the 7 wonders of the natural world, and this stunning location is a haven for any fishing enthusiast.
The Ribbon Reefs make up part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and house a plethora of marine life. Not only is this a superb diving and snorkelling location, but it also offers arguably the best Black Marlin fishing in the world during peak season (September to November). Accessible only by larger vessels with knowledge of navigating these exclusive locations, these reefs contain the largest and most densely populated locales for reef, sports and game fishing.
Gamefishing
Black Marlin is the highlight of any fishing adventure to the Great Barrier Reef region. Light tackle fishing for juvenile black marlin, sailfish, and additional pelagic species is ideal from late June to mid-September. For those looking to up the ante the heavy tackle season for marlin begins in September and runs until December when the marlin migrates to the reef to spawn.
Bottom Fishing
Bottom fishing experiences target a number of additional fish species, all great fun (and very tasty), including Coral Trout, Nannygai and Red Emperor to name a few. These prized fish are great fun to fish for and ideal for the whole family to get involved.
Mothership
Built in 2006 and refitted in 2011 and 2017, this stunning superyacht provides all the luxurious amenities required for your dream fishing adventure. Comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, there are 5 well-appointed cabins available (full beam Master on main deck, 2 x Double with splitting partition to convert beds in 2 x single, 2 x twin with Pullman).
Chaseboat
Included in your fishing package is a 40ft Chaseboat, perfectly designed for diving and game fishing experiences. Exclusively dedicated to you, she offers a Seakeeper stabilization gyro for limiting sea sickness and wave motion, and also employs the Twindisc express joystick system.
Tenders
You will also have 2 x 4.3m Swift Mirage RIB 60hp tenders at your disposable, with all fishing equipment included. And for those days when you feel like breaking up the trip a little, there is also Scuba equipment and unlimited tank fills, 2 x brand new Seabobs, 2 x inflatable SUPs, various inflatable toys, gym equipment, 4-person Jacuzzi. 1x Waterskis, 1x wakeboard, donut, banana available.
The vessels interior layout allows for up to 10 guests to stay onboard, in 5 staterooms. The accommodation layout includes a master suite, 2 double cabins, 2 twin cabins and 2 pullman beds.
The vessel also hosts up to 6 crew onboard to cater to you on your fishing adventure.
