After dropping off luggage, your Eyre Peninsula fishing adventure begins as you get to experience some of the best-kept secrets on the Peninsula.
Your first fishing destination will be some surf fishing. To get to your beach fishing destination you take a 90km drive on Flinders Highway, then wind down a dirt road to taking in some stunning views of the Southern Ocean and some of Australia’s very best but unknown beaches. Its 4WD only this private track which takes you some through enormous sand dunes before arriving on your own private beach ready for the hungry and fighting Australian Salmon.
You can literally cast out into these pristine waters from where the car is parked. The beach is littered with gutters close to the shoreline which is the perfect habitat for salmon. This untouched beach provides anglers an excellent opportunity to catch the hard fighting salmon, famous for their long hard runs and acrobatics or huge flatheads on the plastics.
Both are great fun!
This stunning location boasts kilometres of footprint free beaches and you will fish whilst watching the sun head on down into the west before making your way back to your accommodation in Port Lincoln.
Overnight Port Lincoln Hotel
You head straight out to beautiful Coffin Bay, just a 30-minute drive to the home of arguably the world’s best oysters Coffin Bay is an area of outstanding beauty, and is home to a variety of important species of flora, fauna and of course many varieties of fish. There are no other comparable systems of bays and inlets in such compact form anywhere on the coast, which is why this area is classified as a maritime wilderness area.
Today we board “Full Rip”, an 8.1m Markham Dominator Shark Cat powered by twin 150 horse powered Honda engines to minimize travelling time and to maximize fishing time. Full Rip is fitted out with the latest navigation and safety equipment as well as an on-board toilet.
